AMHERST - SALEM

Like sneaking spiders; in the dwellings of witches, the hospices of horrors, and the haunt of a famous frightened recluse we gathered. Following part I of the documentation of the saga of our Transcendentalist Mecca; my wife and I journeyed to Salem where the boiling cauldron of the American witch hunt once bubbled. We visited the House of The Seven Gables, the birthplace of Nathaniel Hawthorne, the John Ward House, the Witch House, and the Witch Museum. Finally, the following day; we made the lengthy, winding, vibrant, unforgettable trek to the city of Amherst where we visited the home of Emily Dickinson. Surrounded by so many splendors, one can easily see how Emily was inspired to write such marvelous words.
